AMQA was established for machine quilting professionals and so we expect those individuals to apply for ‘Individual’ membership. All services and benefits are being developed to support ‘Individual Members’ both as individuals and as a group. They are the main stakeholders of this organisation.

The Associate Membership was written with a reduced membership fee to make membership to AMQA attractive to friends and supporters of machine quilting and the machine quilting industry.

Individuals such as, magazine editors, committee members of State Guilds, patchwork and machine quilting (domestic) teachers, patchwork shop proprietors and staff, etc. We had these people in mind when we put the membership eligibility together. We felt these individuals might wish to be better informed about the machine quilting profession/industry, in fact, we had hoped they would want to be better informed so that they then could pass the correct information onto their clients, students, readers and constituents. AMQA certainly wants to encourage and welcome such involvement.

It was also thought that non-machine quilting professionals who supply to the industry might want to also support and be involved in the Association and so Corporate membership was introduced.
